The German Product Safety Commission (AFPs) released the latest requirements of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) testing and certification related products, the requirements will on July 1, 2015 formally went into effect. By the affected products include need to apply for certification testing of household appliances, sporting goods, office electronic equipment, audio-visual equipment, measurement equipment and other safety related products.
The main changes of the new requirements include:
Second 1 categories and third categories of products are in accordance with the toy standard 2009/48/EC are divided into two categories (2009/48/EC range of toys and other products), and were given a limit value;
2. The original standard provides only a total of 18 PAHs limit value and benzo (a) pyrene limit values (Table 2), the new standard increased for benzo (E) pyrene and benzo (a) anthracene, benzo (b) fluoranthene and other 10 kinds of PAHs limit value, and standardize the acenaphthylene, acenaphthene, fluorene, phenanthrene, pyrene, anthracene, fluoranthene 7 kinds of PAHs are the sum of the limit value (Table 1).
3 new standards for benzo (a) pyrene in second, three products in the lower limit requirements;
4 new standards for second, three kinds of products in the 18 PAHs of the total value of the lower limit, but the relaxation of the first type of product in the sum of the 18 PAHs limit value requirements.
Effective date and transition period:
1 the updated file will replace the old standard 01.4-08 ZEK before July 1, 2015;

New requirements from the formal implementation of less than a years time, ITC mapping proposed related businesses:
1 should be prepared in advance, purchasing green environmental protection materials, strengthen the inspection of the entire production line and suppliers, to detect the relevant products;
2 has achieved the detection of certified products, should be active and active safety assessment, to ensure its compliance;
3 ITC standard test detection of PAHs detection limit of up to 0.2 mg/kg, can help enterprise security exports, details please call Advisory.
